well atleast im getting some feed back

but i was not fussed about lag if the turbo was still going to be faster than the stock turbo thats on there

R31Nismoid, youv said it wouldent be faster untill much later on so my question is answered( atleast from one person mabye other people have other ideas)

and there are gt70's http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...eplacement.html have a read and you will see

why they dont list it on the other page i dont know

either way i knew it would be very laggy but thought mabye it would still be better than the stock turbo

Define "better".

As you asked on a STOCK car - it's utterly pointless. You'll make @ best 220rwkw before the ECU has had enough, injectors & AFM are also @ limits.

So a car making nothing before 4500rpm, potentially then having the ECU hit R&R with such agressive ramp up, and then only after that making just a tad more than a factory turbo.. SO...

No, it will not be faster.

It's simple logic mate, doesnt take rocket science. Have a look in the RB25 thread @ the list of mods people have when installing GT3076/GT3540's.

The mods are long, and plentiful because that is whats required to make use of the turbo and actually realise the benefits of installing it.

Putting that turbo on, IMO you will not see decent boost/power (280-300rwkw) until at least 4000rpm ish. Add to the fact you need to get:

- injectors

- AFM

- ECU/tune

- clutch/maybe diff

- new dump, spacers, new piping & other mods to fit the turbo

- all the labour/effort associated

You've easily minced 7k without starting. And who knows what else will need attending to along the way.

Even if you don't get all the above... You will still need a spacer, custom piping, dump etc to fit it to begin with which is wasted money.

Yes its cheap, yes its bigger than the turbo you have now, sadly that means nothing.

With a .63 housing it may work, if you have the coin for all the mods to get it fueled up and flowing...

The stock turbo would probably still be faster to the speed limit though, a GT30 would be a much better choice. What are your plans for the car?
