Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forums and living up in Central QLD. I'm tempted to come down for the cruise but it means an 11hr drive to get there.

Got a job interview in Brisbane on Monday 29th with flights booked (paid for by the company). Who thinks I should come down for the cruise?

17" Rays United Arrows

so who from the gc is coming? and who wants to meet up somewhere down this end?

It was suggested by Micah (rb26stagea) to meet at Coomera BP about 8:30 (Qld time, I'm from NSW) so that's what I'm doing.

See you there.

Trying to rectify my boost problem. Hope to have it fixed

He will need boost over Mt Mee :P

Getting up a mountain is no problem. Comes up Henry Robert in second 4/5 grand never misses a beat. It is the low speed crusing that stuffs things. Not always but sometimes just get a bit of boost and it dies in the arse.

I have a leak somewhere in and about the AAC. And remember I have a Greddy FFP. Its a sod to get at.

I can drive the RS4 but might have to bring the 25G.

Hey Darrin, I went on a cruise with the Nissan SVD club (do they even exist anymore?) in the 90's and it was a very slooow cruise. It turned me off these things for well over a decade. But now with the Stagea I'm keen to meet other owners and have a nice drive.

Without gettting into trouble, will Mt Mee see some "spirited" driving?

I've never been there before, but I'll get out some maps before hand if there's a chance to have a bit of a go :P

Anyone want to share their pace notes?

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
