Defect - Please Advise

i got defected for low ride height. I was told to get a RWC and report to the cop station in a month after getting it fixed.

My question is do they look at other things apart from checking the ride height when i report to them?? If anyone has experienced this before, please advise. Thanks!

Yeah, same goes for all states, they will inspect the entire car...

thats no good :-( i can adjust the ride height easily as i have coilovers.. but i am not sure if coilovers are legal... can anyone shed some light on this please..

just bump the height, report to the cop shop and present the defect and show them the new ride height. Its only a minor they have defected you with so you dont have to go over the pits for a full inspection.

thanks mate..i am hoping that will be the case. luckily they spotted only this.. tyres are a bit bald, especially the inner sides..i will be getting new tyres soon. i recently removed the pillar gauges which could have been another one.

I would probably sort out the bald tyres before you take it to them just in case. That's a fairly obvious defect really.

Yeah tyres are pretty important, they're the only bit of your car that touches the ground (well, unless you have other problems ). Keep in mind that rain is forecast all week too.

Regardless of the possibility of a defect notice, if it's at all possible please don't drive your car until you get new tyres

i hardly drive my car these days as I catch public transport to work. on weekends i just use my daily. i got defected on the way to a friends place, 3 kms away from my house just to get the car raised to the legal height. i really should have asked him to come to my place :-) well one of those things you learn from experience..anyways i m not gonna drive it until i get the new tyres this week. i cant afford to make the same mistake again;-)

If you fixed the tyre's just take it to a station that doesn't have a traffic branch and it will all be sweet. Where about's in Brisbane are you.

thanks for the info mate. I have to get a RWC before i can take it to the cop station. i havent got to it yet. i am located in sunnybank hills. i may have to go to acacia ridge as they have specified it in the notice.
