Anyone Feel Left Out?

Recommended Posts

start /rant

Was wondering if anybody feels discriminated against just cause your Skyline is NA. I kinda feel it a bit.

Haven't been on a dyno day yet, still waiting till it's $40-$50 again. But it's gonna be pretty awkward cause all the fully sickers are gonna expect 99999kW just cause it's a Skyline just to be heart broken cause it's NA. Also the community and it shows on this forum too; it's like if your Skyline isn't turboed it isn't considered a Skyline or something, people don't wanna help you as much, all the comments revolve around 'get a turbo' etc. Maybe i'm just biatching but you know it's true lol.

well im from canada and i understand you guys in aus have stricter driving/vehicle compliance rules down there so my comment may not really apply but up here if your going to get a skyline there is absolutly no reason to get a n/a one seeing as how the price difference for importing one is almost non existant. there is no reason or us to import a n/a because you no longer have the perormance factor. might as well buy a comparable gutless 2L domestic vehicle which has the steeringwheel on the proper side for our roads (we drive left hand drive) for less money and substancially cheaper/more available parts. up here if you have n/a you get looked down upon because it just doesnt make sense. i understand my comment may not apply because of p platers i believe there called(learners licence holders???) who cannot drive modiied/turbo'd cars?

Because its true - best bang for your buck modification for an N/A Skyline is to go down the turbo route... anything else while keeping it N/A is going to cost you lots of money for very little gain.

Unless your restricted by P plate laws in which case I dont think your allowed to modify the engine at all anyways regardless if its N/A.

if your Skyline isn't turboed it isn't considered a REAL Skyline

fixed :)

You can be an enthusiast and own a gogomobile

You can be an enthusiast and own a 911 turbo

The losers are the ones who...

i) are condescending at others and their cars

ii) don't know how to treat a car (-yes even if it's a 911)

iii) spend $$$ on grog/drugs instead of upgrading their car

iv) are jealous and discriminate half-cocked

v) try and pretend to be something they're not

An enthusiast can be proud of his/her car!

I'd rather have a NA skyline than any sort of commonwhore, except maybe a VL which at least had the right engine in it (but it's turbo so not an option for P platers).

Dunno what you're whining about though. My first car was a Charade, and you think an NA skyline is a sorry option? You should harden up a bit, princess.

Hey mate, everyone has to start somewhere.

I started out in a Gemini then went to a Niki 650.

Now i have a boonger R31 and a C33 Laurel. My missus has a Stagea.

Point is, you gotta work up in the cars, no point (in my case) owning a Niki 650 then jumping into a R33 and almost killing yourself with the added 250kw extra power than the 3kw Niki.

If i could get myself a N/A R32 and sell my R31 i would in a heart beat!
