RubyRS4
I can't see how the 2 can be related. Did you do any other work at the same time? Would your brake pads just happen to be out of material coincidentally? Is sound coming from under bonnet or elsewhere? SMOKEYV35
got your timing BELT done? or you got your timing adjusted...? if you suspect the two are related then i'd suggest popping the bonnet and have someone gently rev it from cold - it could just be a slipping belt that they need to tension up more. Always be careful with timing as we all would be well aware of with chef's issues, Also be careful of what you read on forums. OVERTIGHT cam belt can make whiring noise. Gates belts are also known for being a tad noisy if thats what you put on? search it if so heaps of info on the issue. Idler and tensioner pulley bearings may also be a tad noisy while they bed in.
