Trust PE2 is pretty rowdy when you smash the go pedal. But normal driving its really nice.

Lithium has one on his R33 with GT3076r. Its beautiful to drive/ride in normally, and then gives you the heebies when it opens up. Just roars.

We are currently working on some comparison clips. Will post up if we get some dry weather.

=/ i had a Trust PE2 before and thought it was way TOO loud...droned too much for my liking too.

Replaced with 3.5 x-force catback mid muffler and rear cannon.. better but still loud and droney.

Cut off rear muffler and replaced with a 3.5" varex - MUCH better. The varex mufflers are very large (as they need to have enough room to make 3 chambers for the gas to flow through in silent mode) so even at full open mode it's not too loud/droney and it sounds good too. Had to get the mid muffler repositioned too - thing was too low like previous posters mentioned and was scraping when attacking corners that were bumpy.

Now I don't have an R33, but I just fitted a 3.5 inch CES custom exhaust to my s15.

I thoroughly recommend it as it is not loud nor drony. I previously had their 3 inch system on my s15 which they claimed had legal db's and I can honestly say there 3.5 inch system is NO louder even with a 100 cpi cat. It has a large oval mid muffler and large oval twin tip muffler (with twin 2.5 inch dual skin perforated outlets) which are custom made at CES.

It cost me $1600 plus freight. Now that might be a little more than your willing to spend but...but what extra price do you put on a drone free and reasonably quiet exhaust?

I live in Perth and the exhaust was custom made at CES in QLD and yet despite this it's a beautifull fit even though the car was not there...tucks up nice and close to the body.

Also has twin tips as I wasn't keen on the cannon style to which Trevor at CES advised it would be slightly louder with the cannon.

Can snap some pics if you want to get an idea of the quality and fit.

sorry guys, let me clarify, i want the loud exhaust with no drone, i understand this is hard to accomplish without spending big bucks

You can't.

If you want a loud exhaust, it's going to drone @ low RPM. That is how sound works.

You can't have it silent and then suddenly loud legally.

You'd need to buy a valve of some sort that only opens above 2500rpm or something.

End of the day its always subjective anyway.

What some people say is "fine", is ridiculously loud to someone else.

    • Hey lads, reviving an old thread.  As an update, since the last time replied to this thread, ive done mostly suspension. Havent touched the motor except for maintenance. Though upon changing spark plugs, found out i had splitfires pre-installed! Updates: - Got me some stock airbox top cover and snorkel to fit onto the original intake. Should be free of defects - Bought a set of R34 GT-T brakes (not installed yet, going to rebuild + respray in champion blue + white 'Nissan' text) - Bought the last set of bilsteins from @Sydneykid and had them installed. Has been making some sounds on the rear but hopefully should be sorted out after this New Year break. - Regreased front caster rod bushings (poly bushes..) - Rear upper camber arms - Whiteline sway bars (BNF27Z 22mm + BNR11XXZ 24mm).  The rear sway bars are a bit short (ive read 50mm else where) but was still able to get them in.  Anyhows, I reckon suspension is sorted now. Maybe replace bushes (do have a set of front upper control arms from SK not installed yet) but should be okay for now. From now, I'm wanting to start working on the motor, drivetrain etc etc. Still debating on the order to go on and what to buy etc but: - ECU ( Haltech or Link ( Link states that it dont support A/T or AWD functions... Can anyone attest to this? ) - Highflow turbo ( ATR43ss2 ) - Intercooler ( Not decided yet, but cant find many good afoordable ones. Toshi says to opt for crossflow Japanese. Bit difficult this one, unless I get a returnflow Blitz from JJ? ) - Injectors ( Any recommendations ? I do have a nismo FPR ( Thanks SK ) ) - Seats - Tune by either Toshi or DVS To be fair, I did consider just keeping the stock turbo and nistuning it. Sat in a mates stock N, that had something like 200kw, and I reckon that felt more than enough. Maybe I should just go this route ahhaha. Too many choices.... Planning a trip down south, so wanting to just clean things up and make sure it gets to and from in one piece. Anything else specifically I should do before ? Cheers lads
    • Must be for the car’s lucky charm 🤷🏽‍♂️ She runs fine, but it just seems to take about 1L less. Maybe I’ll have the oil sump dropped at some point to check if there is anything
    • Hmmm interesting. Mine is the exact same and clearly the right one.  The mystery of the engine oil being full after 3.5-4L continues
