Shifted redline in 1st, then early in 2nd so i could hook away in 3rd as it is in the midrange area. i was shocked as i was gettin mainly 8.3 seconds all the time which was was my mates honda acord 2.2 SOHC was gettin :S and i was gettin cut at that

just so you guys have something to compare to:

r33 series II manual with apexi rsm

0 to 100 5.70

stock standard, just good tyres and a pod filter (no cold air kit etc..) and a 4" muffler, stock exhaust

yeah for sure. just thought i'd give you guys some figures to compare to. i have stacks of fun in my turbo. much prefer it vs non turbo and alll ive got is a pod filter so you can hear the turbo wind up and the factory bov. sounds sweet as. my peak is 141rwkw as per dyno run with stock everything, normal gtst is stock 125rwkw so im a little bit more, not sure why. rb25det with 96000 on the clock

yeah its better than the turbo specs, funny that he only has 75horsepower nitrous.

the stock turbo is 6.10 or thereabouts according to most magazines, or 6.18

as a reference the brand new police cop car hsv gto 5.7 litre v8 does 0 to 100 in 5.8

well the one holden lent the cops for trials in vic anyway plates are "HSVGTO" which is used exclusively for the cops does it in 5.80. my friend got 5.70 in my car, i can only manage 5.98

yet to try again, maybe i should soon :)

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
