I just finished my conversion today

easy very easy

The speedo drive is one of the easiest things you will ever do. and be careful with the loop in the speedo cable so its not to tight ( its there because the speedo drive is further forward on the gearbox than on the r32 gearbox

a couple of things I was struggling to find out and couldn't find.

The Nissan gear box cross members all have a letter on them.

You need the A cross member it bolts straight in.

the front half of the drive shaft needs 10-15 mm added to it. You cant use the front half of a r33 tailshaft on the back half of a r32 tailshaft , it is to long.

Any other questions Its fresh in my head

i did the conversion last week also.

speedo easy as and is within 2 klms of accurate.

crossmember just welded some 5mm flat bar to exsisting crossmember and re drilled holes.

the tailshaft in mine needed to be shorter by about 8-10mm also need the rb25 yoke. the length isnt a universal measurement. my measurement from output shaft to hole centre for the centre bearing was 41.9cms

Ahh

Lucky for me a good friend of mine owns http://www.japaneseperformance.com.au/ . Makes it handy when I am looking for x-members

It looks factory because it is. I can find out what he would charge for an A style cross member if you want to put a factory one in there

Glad to hear about that with the speedo

Tell me please who did your driveshaft and what did it cost

Edited by waxracing

it was a local driveshaft place in Bundaberg but any driveshaft shop will be able to handle the job its not rocket science cost me $190, i supplied the yoke, they welded the 25 yoke onto 20 shaft and rebalanced both shafts together.
