I have finally been able to change the oil myself after getting that three pronged rachet operated oil filter remover from Autobarn. Made a big mess taking the filter off, it's impossible not to make a mess.

Relocation kit would definitely be worth it.

Wonder if there was a sump plug relocation kit would be nice also, don't have to jack up the car :D

yeah pain in the ass removing my oil filter, had to pierce a screw driver through it and lever it off. got a replacement filter with a hex nut welded on the end (drift oil filer) hopefully that will make it easier next time... looking at a relocation kit though end all the problems.

I've been thinking of getting a relocator kit recently aswell. Did my filter change the other night and it's so much harder now with braided nitrous and fuel lines in the way (not to mention the Plazmaman plenum makes it a little harder over stock).

However where abouts are you guys moving them to? I kind of want it hidden away so you don't see it when you pop the bonnet, or atleast in a corner or something. Is there a good spot to mount it down low somewhere so you can access it underneath the car? Dads LS1 oil filter was in an awesome position directly underneath the car next to the sump.

I really want to move my fuel filter aswell, it's a bitch to get off and on in the position that it is in with braided lines.

Most GTR owners I know have it next to the battery area (and the same on r33/4's)

I know of one guy who had the filter down low on a custom bracket so that when it was on the hoist it was right next to the sump. Both spots worked fine.

PM elrodeo666 if you are looking for a GREX kit. He is in Japan currently and he could get you one cheaper than what Nengun sell them for.

He was going to one for me but i ended up getting one locally as i needed it fairly quickly.

So I've finally got around to getting the GREX relocation kit. Worked out to be about $260 delivered from Nungen. I didn't bother with getting the cooler kit

I've put most of the kit together now so it's ready to install. But I was looking around for where I should mount the bracket for the sandwich plate?

Does anyone have any photos or tips for installing theirs? I was thinking of mounting it just under next to the fuse box. But I might have to use some self-tappers to secure it?

The bracket included some bolts, so really it should be a full bolt-on kit right?

    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
    • Sport. I didn’t rebleed it cause I just removed the slave and left connected.    I will change line and slave and see how it goes.
    • Oh and how is the rattle when foot is on the clutch ?
    • Did you get the sport or track ? From what the documentation says the uniclutch has a small amount of movement to disengage.  So your story of tricky pedal setup seems common.    Hopefully you got it bled up too, as the bite point moving around is usually either plates wearing in or air in the line.
