these guys list m35's and from the bad engrish translation you send them what your car is running and they will tune the ecu for it

also, nistune is able to tune vq30det boards, and im guessing that they would be somewhat similar to the vq25 board

could be worth a try, i couldn't find a pic of an m35 ecu to compare

I doubt it, VQ30 doesnt have variable cams, attessa, re5 auto etc. I would have gone standalone long ago but I want to retain all the factory gear, including the dash. Best bet would be the Fcon V pro, closest thing to a standalone while still keeping all the factory gear running. If anyone wants to do all the R+D I will happily ditch the Emanage and buy HKS...

I just checked the link, would anyone here trust a tune guessed from the other side of the globe? Dyno tune or dont bother imo.

Performance mods are the same no matter what car, a little harder due to the lack of space on the m35, it all comes down to being able to tune it...

With the amount of new m35's coming into the country it will hopefully be a matter of time before a remap is developed and all these imported ecu's and even the emanage will be redundant. I proved the power can be made and the engine can take it like a man (so far) the rest is patience and hard work.

Supporting those that are investing time and money developing performance parts will improve the chances of everyone seeing their goals and there are a lot of goodies in the pipework. :D

Totally agree, and I'm sure as there are more around, other solutions will crop up.

I may have misunderstood petrodola, as he seemed to be looking for a cheap solution, however he obviously understands good work costs money, maybe he'll drive a new development!

Been there almost 2 years ago asking if they could look at the M35. In short. No.

The ECU in the M35 is nothing like the ECU in any other Nissan...

well that sucks

that place in japan who can tune them may be interested in selling their software/hardware to a tuner based in oz

that would be worth a try

im sure if you found out a price, put it to a tuner here and then got a group "tune" organised (agree for x amount of ppl to get a tune)

I think that if you have the stock setup, they would be fine. From all the back and forth I have been through with various remap services in Japan, they are all willing to do mail-order remaps for stock-ish cars, but as soon as you mention turbo/injectors/pump/intake they need to remap the ecu with the car

Remaps from Japan are great if they remove the speed limiter and the ECU restriction on the throttle - then we couple it with a GOOD piggyback and a dyno tune.

... and yes, I will be going the F-con route - but you'll have to be patient

On a somewhat related topic, anyone seen a cheap Fcon V Pro (v3.24)?

Hehe very doubtfull..for the simple reason im not that confident with my mechanical knowledge or skills.. even after 4 turbo cars my skills are limited and im not going to pretend otherwise, I'll be following tried and tested methods of you guys most likely. Although i completely understand this isnt going to be something thats gonna happen overnight or in the next 6 months.. will take lots of time patience and money to see it through.

however i will be pushing other turbo builders other than GCG to hiflow my turbo after they did such an awesome job on my last one- scott you know who im talking about :P

Just an update on whats going on.

My car is still in Vic - It was damaged in transit and I didn't want the front bar repaired I wanted it replaced. So i'm now waiting for my front bar to arrive!!

As compensation for the long delay the guy who imported it has agreed to give me 4 new tyres and install my audio system for free ( He has an employee who is an audio nutter like me ) - he's promised me it'll be a quality install to my exact specs....

I've allotted 6k to go on mods to get me 250kw@ the wheels ( Credit card :whistling:)but I seem to be having the same troubles as before regarding the ecu and getting around it for that sort of power.....

So if you had 6k to spend on mods, what would you do?

I'll post some pics up when I finally get her ( Hopefully not too far ) - I'm having the stock rims powder coated black with either a red or blue on the outside lip ( Can't wait )

* Thanks Scott for your advise regarding tuning - It gives me a great base to work with
