Removing window weather sheilds/

Has anyone had to do this....? I have decided to go the aero mirrors after some ****er removed my drivers side mirror and weather sheild.

Need to remove the passenger one - is there a way I can unstick the glue.. any products? Also, there is a heap of the dried up sealent stuff on the drivers side.. how can I remove that.. it really doesnt want to come off.

I've found most jap glue comes off with a lil bit of encouragement from a heat gun and then you just go "RRRRRRRRRRRIP" and the whole strip of glue usually comes off.

if you looking for the glass half of the driver's mirror pm me iv got 1 sitting round.. but i had to use the mounted half of it for mine

pour a bit of acertone on there and let soak for about 5 mins and then the glue should come off

Maybe K+H *grease & wax remover*, it gets the crap off left behind by badges / stickers etc Avaliable most Auto and hardware stores...my mrs' car has the weather shields on it too and I was going to remove them for her except for the glue...

be careful though this stuff can damage the paint if left on too long or used too much!
