Installed Alpine Dvd Headunit Minor Problems

hey sau,

purchased a alpine IVA-D106E dvd headunit connected it all up today after i connected my nissan harness to it, the radio works fine but has poor reception and drops out frequently when i insert a cd it comes up with a error msg, is there a fix for this problem or has anyone had it in the past or have i just got a faulty unit? tryed several cd's that work in my old oem headuit/cd stacker and same msg the error one :laugh:

Did you connect the blue wire from the head unit harness to the blue wire on harness you bought? That is what amplifies your radio. What does the error message say when you insert the CDs?

all the wires were connected to my harness correctly just says "error" inserted my old oem unit and took the aftermarket one back i believe it is faulty

It had all HVAC including A/C still fitted (A/C condenser and radiator were moved to the boot) and it ran a 9.7 sec quarter mile. Somewhat of a legend among GT-R and drag enthusiasts then and now. If you're wondering if it was a reputable shop, then yes it was.

      Hey guys I’m looking to buy an r32 gtr and it looks like the shop who’s done some work on the motor was done at Fujii Dynamic in Japan. Looking to find if anyone is familiar with this shop since there not much info I could find.    All I could find was the owner has passed away early 2000s and had previously owned a 1000hp r33 for drag racing.

      GTR front looks good. If you don't like it, I'll swap you a rolling shell R33 for it. Give you a fresh base to start with.
