Installed Alpine Dvd Headunit Minor Problems

hey sau,

purchased a alpine IVA-D106E dvd headunit connected it all up today after i connected my nissan harness to it, the radio works fine but has poor reception and drops out frequently when i insert a cd it comes up with a error msg, is there a fix for this problem or has anyone had it in the past or have i just got a faulty unit? tryed several cd's that work in my old oem headuit/cd stacker and same msg the error one

Did you connect the blue wire from the head unit harness to the blue wire on harness you bought? That is what amplifies your radio. What does the error message say when you insert the CDs?

all the wires were connected to my harness correctly just says "error" inserted my old oem unit and took the aftermarket one back i believe it is faulty

no worries should have a replacement by wednesday
