Hey guys just wanted to know if it makes sense installing a single egt probe immediately after the dump pipe on the rear turbo of the 26 although i already have a wide band sensor/gauge permanently installed in the front pipe after the two turbos meet.

Is it necessary to monitor egts even though i can monitor my afrs??? are there any advantages of having them both???

Thanks

I have a wideband and egt on a single turbo outlet, it was to dispel the tuner's worries with high exhaust temps on the ethanol. They are for 2 different purposes, how complete the mixture is burning, how hot the mixture is burning.

At the end of the day, you don't need any gauges but for peace of mind I wanted the basics:

Wideband

Exhaust temp

Oil temp

Oil pressure

Being able to log the outputs makes them even more practical.

Question to Unique1, what happens if one of the egt sensors isnt calibrated as well as the rest?
