hmm not quite sure of the newsworthy status...noone got injured? any public interest concerns with the driver being well known or something?

someone will lose their licence for about 6 months perhaps? If so, the newspapers should be reporting every person that gets caught drink driving or worse driving under suspension as these can carry penalties above that. Seems they only report on incidents of speeding/'hooning'.
