Canon 7D and L glass.

Matt - Noinkon D90 - Don't know what Nikon glass is classified as.

Zennon - Nikon D90?

Nick - Canon 60D

Sidd - Canon 5DII

Etc etc etc.

D80 here

ps Nikon lenses are called Nikkor - is that what you mean? (There is no hard and fast rule for Nikon "L series" glass)

Ahh D80.

Nah i meant Canon has EF-S glass (fits all crop cameras) and the EF lenses which are All cameras and then the L lenses. I dont know what Nikons equivalent to L glass is e.g. N glass or whatever lol. I know there is AF-S, ,FX and all that, but dont know the difference.

Beyond what Kory and Zennon have already mentioned, if your Canon camera has ONLY a red dot on the lens mounting, then you can ONLY use EF lenses (because the camera you'd be using in that instance is a full-frame jobbie, hence the need for a full-frame EF lens). If your Canon camera has BOTH the red dot and the white square, then you can use either the EF or EF-S lenses on your camera.
