i recently spun a bearing and put a viewing hole in the block in my r32 with a rb20det, i decided to make a hybrid instead of just wacking another rb20 back in, ive been reading alot on the 25/30 conversion and a few people said its posible to use a 20 head as in the only difference is the ports, but then some people says that the head wont fit, any ideas??? thanks.

The general theory is the RB20 head doesn't flow any more than the RB30E head so no benefit and the cost of modifying puts it further into the not worth it area.

The easiest solution for an R32GTSt is to go with an RB25DE (R32, non-VCT) head as every bolt-on and sensor from the RB20 will swap over. If you go with an RB25DET (R33, VCT) head then you'll pretty much need to do an RB25 conversion.
