kyb are usually about the best value for money as long as your just after a stock replacement. ive got some rear kyb's lying around somewhere i think they were about $190nzd trade price for the pair back in 2007. probly doesnt help u much lol

I would go with King Springs and Koni Shocks as you can get the with internal or external adjustment

adjustment is useless for most people on this site, bilstein are the best solution for most people on here, who want something to set and leave.

Koni's are a good option for anyone looking for a solution, and for what ever reason they need damper adjustment. but unless you know how to tune shocks and have the resources to properly do so, you're better off with the bilsteins.

if anyone is interested in bilsteins, drop me a line, i can get them cheap from the states (i'm bringing some over for myself, easy to chuck more in for others and saves on postage etc)

ive got bilsteins they are freaking awesome!! they are crazy responsive for a shock that doesnt throw you around and rattle your teeth on public roads. from what i've seen though they have been quite expensive, i've only seen other sets 2nd hand and they were about 2-3x the price of kybs and the like. probably worth it though if you drive your car with any sort of gusto.

my only issue with them is the rears in my r32.. the sheer height of the shock means that in order for me to have a legally captive spring at full extension of the shock, the car has to ride bloody high at the back. im talking probably as high or higher than stock. maybe nisskid knows a way around this? at the moment i've got some king spring super lows on them with a bunch of washers packing down the bump stop so as to keep the spring captive.. i know its a bit dodgy but is there a more legit way to do it??

i havent dealt with super lows before, so i'm unsure of their length. but if you want to go lower, without having the springs uncaptive, you have to do either 2 things, take the height out in other places, either before or after where the spring sits, anything length that is taken out here will make ur car lower. now if you're running king springs which sit in the standard seats, it means there's not much you can do, as the top of the spring is only a few mm of steel, and without serious fabrication, you can't really do anything below the lower spring seat. the other option is adding in helper springs, this is ur best option. i don't know what is available in the king spring's size, my guess is not much if anything. you're best bet is probably from the rolla boys, pretty sure they run some huge ID spring coilovers with helpers.

but you're best solution, although most expensive, is new low ID springs, with custom top seats, adjustable lower coilover sleeves, and then just some helpers for them.
