So this is the first time i have logged in to SAU for about 3 years.. pretty much since i sold my Drift Spec R33 and bought a house with the deposit dunno if anyone remembers it but it was the white one with CREATD Motorsports graphics all over it sequential gearbox ect...

Anyway finaly got some debt paid of and managed to get the car i always wanted and could never afford (well apart from the R35), a R33 GTR, just wondering if anyone on here knows the guy i bought it of (Eric)? Looks like he looked after this thing pretty well and im stoked with it.... heres a few pics.

Oh and theres also one of my old 33 if anyone remembers it..

Anyone know how to post pics?? its been a while!! lol

Yep its a series III and thats the guy i bought it off, he definetley looked after this thing cant wait to get my license back so i can drive it a bit more! lol

I ended up selling that gts-t to a friend who took it back up to Karratha and i heard he wrote it off... i have convinced another mate who owns a fairly stock gts-t to buy it of him for parts coz there was a heap of good stuff on that car that i dont want to see it go to waste!

Anyway heres some pics of the new one..

Ohhh that 33GTR is absolutely beautiful!

Don't mind me asking, how much did you have to cough up for it?

I even looked briefly at buying this......god those Series 3 R33's are the best looking GTR of them all....i love their fat ass :P

wow, had no idea you were into skylines dude. seen you up here in kal few years back at fungi's place, you got some pretty sweet skills on the bike. Use to ride there every now and then with him when he was on the crf.

Well done on the GTR, by far the cleanest 33 gtr ive seen in a long time.

    • This is a simple swap when you reuse the RB20 loom and auxiliaries. I run a standalone, but if I remember right, using the RB25 ecu you only have 2 injectors to inverse.  There are many DIY's on this subject online, including this forum.
    • Surprisingly the D6000 is only $1999, I'm waiting for the BF/CM sales, and hoping to get one cheaper. D4000 is well priced, still outperforms the 13" SVS PB-3000 and is like 1/2 the price at $1699 RRP. I do watch a fair amount of movies, and listen to EDM, jazz, symphonies, etc. so the lower notes from a subwoofer are always appreciated. The front 8" stage, just doesn't provide you with lively feeling, even though they are pretty bassy for a pair of large bookshelves. Then again, these days it's just playing Wiggles, Blippi and Ms Rachel, another reason the 3m wide cabinet exists, to hide all the audio gear behind it. They used to sit on a nice pair of stands, but as you know, they make good baby traps too.
    • Granted, which is a solid reason why I don't have one. My floorstanders are only -2 dB at 22 Hz.  So they're still working down to <20 Hz. Which is no doubt part of the reason why my receiver shits the bed! That Tonewinner would be about double the cost though, so it's not apples and apples. There aren't many AU$1300 subs (that you can buy prebuilt, I'm ignoring what can be achieved by DIYing) that compete.
    • -6dB at 22Hz isn't that great, watch the data from the D6000 from REW
    • I'll just leave this here. https://www.adelaidespeakers.com/subwoofers.html TL loading, big power. They sound awesome. This is what I would buy if I was going to try to take the bass away from my floorstanders. Just go with the 12".
