jesus, if VL boxes are more expensive than RB25 boxes, why would anyone bother? more syncros in an RB25 box,

both boxes need the yolk to suit therefore custom tailshaft also,

as for bolting up, yes, they both bolt up to the engine the same.

have a search on this site, will be covered lots of times and give you a wealth of knowledge

Almost but not quit, the VL turbo has a slightly diffrent bellhousing dew to the starter motor, it's

to do with the starter motor's bottom bolt being about 5mm further out, this is why True VL Turbo's

have a diffrent starter motor and also a diffrent engine sandwhich plate, and the VL flywheel has a

colar around the back of the ring gear, and the starter motor has no snout on it...

If your ever in Moonah drop into Moonah Auto Part's and i can show you the diffrence..

Cheers Jon

glad i said bolt to the engine the same then..

its not a big deal if you have all the parts, anything is going to require $$$ and a few mods

Ive done the rb25det box conversion and it was about a 1 hour job if you have the parts.....and a hoist.

Ive also got an rb26dett R32 gearbox with the yolk if your interested. Tougher again than the 25det box.
