Exhaust Louder When It Gets Wet

Hey everyone,

was driving home from work today in my 33 GTST, went through a puddle and noticed that the exhaust was much louder. After a bit more driving it gradually went back to normal. The performance of the car didn't change in any noticeable way.

Has anyone else had this happen or does anyone know why?

I've got a JJR split dump, magnaflow high flow cat and a Kaki Regu 06&R.

If anyone could shed some light it would be great.

Exhausts are louder when cold, the puddle would have cooled the exhaust down and then it warmed back up.
