Tyres are the best performance upgrade for your car, people go on about eBay shit being bad then skimp on tyres.

i agree. what i listed are tyres i have had and are reasonable performance IMO as well as cost.

personally i would try the yokohama advan or neova range if i had the coin.

I'll be trying Pirelli P-zero next time..

Awesome tyre! Love driving on them, was very impressed.

Continental Sport Contact 5P also gets a very good writeup

I just ordered a set of dunlop direzza z1 star specs from tirerack.com... But FedEx 'lost' half the shipment along the way :(

Hopefully they sort it out soon, cos im keen to try them out.

They also have good reviews!

My next set will be the z1 star spec for sure

If your looking at Dunlop, check out the Dunlop P600, there were developed for the new GTR but also come in an 18", had them on a GTR and they gripped like shit ( really well )

reason being, wet? dry? mileage? i know theyre a bit noisy...

No grip when dry , would spin into 3rd easy ( great if you want to impress ya mates ) Never drove in the wet as we feared for our safety >_<

They finally arrived... got them fitted last saturday. I previously had 235/45/R17 on 17x9 so it had slight stretch. Now 255/40/R17, they fit very nicely.

I havent driven the car a lot yet, but they definately feel a lot grippier. No more wayward back end around tight corners. it just hugs the road! I have experienced a bit of road noise once they warm up. but hopefully that disappears after the wear in a bit. Otherwise its up with the stereo :D

btw, at the end of the day, as of current exchange rate and shipping charges to WA, cost per tyre was $280 fitted. (Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1 255/40/R17)

To put it into perspective, I got a few quotes from local tyre places on the Dunlop Sport Maxx TT, and was looking at 360ea fitted.

i have a set of the Michelin Super Sports on their way over from tirerack.com. You now have to use a freight forwading company as Mich has stopped tirerack from posting to australia but they will still come a LONG way under quoted prices here. Ill post up thoughts and final price once i have them.

As they are a grippy directional tyre don't expect a quiet ride Gav, just be happy with excellent levels of grip at a great price

so sumitomos arn't the best tyre is that what your saying but what bout the price.

Whats wrong with 20's i've seen 22's on skylines and 20's on other models mate so its not uncommon.

I asked for prices on toyo, yokohama and falken tyres and thats what they offered me so might have to keep searching, anyone bought tyres from tech9tyres.

i got 19" low profile tyres they look good but wouldnt reccomend them for everyone! after i had my two rear tyers changed one randomly blew out on me! and their expensive too if you buy performance branded low profiles!
