Problem With Greddy Bov

Hey peeps

I recently installed a greddy type rs blow off valve on my rb20. I have noticed if I don't warm my engine up for gd 5 mins it seems not to work I get flutter sound for a bit then once she's warmed up she's all gd? Also I have noticed a whistle sound somtimes happens also when I rev my car ?? Should the bov be adjusted??

Tighten her up buddy...

Whistling is due to it being too soft...

Adjust so it holds boost while on throttle whilst also allowing it to open up when release accelerator or clutch in...

So not too tight but happy medium and then when desired level you can adjust for different sound.

I have graddy type s in mine, due to stock bov leaking boost.

hey mate il try that. I'm not running it plumb either also have the trumpet on the end.. And running stock hose on the vacume nipple ??? Cheers

hey iv just bought a greddy bov type rs and i cant stop it from fluttering and when i rev it the valve doesn't open at all i have tried adjusting it from softest to hardest and it just keeps fluttering, im running it in my nissan skyline r33 its at stock boost which is around 6.5 - 7 psi does any one know why it wont stop fluttering?

Have you hooked up the vacuum source correctly?

$100 bucks says it's not installed properly. The vacuum source needs to come from the intake manifold, after the throttlebody.

Why are you putting a BOV on your car? They sound like shit and they will cause problems for sure! You'll most likely have problems with stalling and a poor idle!
