Idle Problems When Clutch + Brake In

as says ive been getting idle problems wen im coming to a stop and i hav the car in first.. it sometimes drops as low as 500 or less rpm then someetimes it stalls out aswell.. i recently took apart my throtle body and crossover pipe to paint rocker covers, could this have anything to do with it? my bov is standard and plumbed back to intake.

it doesnt happen if its in neutral though and once it felt almost as if it was stuck in first.. was very stiff to get out :S

any suggestions?

sounds a bit like the clutch isn't disengaging fully, have you bled the clutch slave?

if not . clean the idle valve and reset it . how to is really easy to find
