Buying Interstate, Wa Change Of Rego Question

hey guys, looking to purchase a gtr from wa or interstate, found one i like in nsw, just wondered who has done this and what have you done about registration?? the car is modified and i'd prefer to steer clear of pit passing. apparently you need to own the vehicle for 12 months before changing without pit pass?? any info is appreciated

If you are buying the vehicle from the Eastern States, it MUST be inspected over the pits. There is no way of having the vehicle rego'd in your name in the eastern states for 12months and then changing it to WA rego.....it's too difficulut.

As long as the car is neat and tidy, and the mods that have been done are subtle and nothing is hugely obvious, then just take it over the pits.

However if you buy it from teh eastern states, make sure you get some kind of proof of purchase so when you go over the pits you know you are able to prove you have purchased the vehicle.
