So basically I'm not sure if someone tried to break into the car last night or not but just before when I went to go down to the shops, I turned the car on and pressed the button to wind the drivers window down and it sort fell down into the door, went in at a really wrong angle and wouldnt come back up again. I looked down into the door and it had become caught underneath one of the tabs in the door that keeps the window straight. I got it out from under that tab so I could get it up again but now there is something definitely broken inside the door because the window wont go up without serious assistance and wont go up straight at all. To top it off it looks as its about to pop out the top of the door and is also leaning over too far so that you have to really slam the door to get it to shut because the window isn't sitting at the right angle.

Anyway inside the door there are two rails, one that runs vertically that keeps the window from moving side to side, and one that has a scissor thing that pushes the window up. Looks sort like this...

Basically the joints ive circled popped out of their rails somehow. Now i managed to "finesse" the window back into the vertical rail (not easy considering that the wheel that came out had to slide back into the top of the rail, it wouldnt go in the bottom). But the other one had a little ball in the scissor arm and a hard plastic cover for it that slides in the rail. As you can see by the pic, the ball popped out of the plastic (although ive managed to zip-tie it together again but how long til that breaks?!)

So yeah does anyone have any thoughts as to how this couldve happened and maybe how i can get that second joint back together? This was such a fun exercise that id really like to sort it for good. oh and i raped the tint on the window trying to pull it out the top of the door. basically an awesome way to spend your sunday arvo
