Pro Engines CNC Machined Nissan RB20/25/26/30 Oil Pump Drive Collar

Our Nissan RB Oil Pump Drive Collars (also known as Crank Collars) are precision CNC machined from Chrome Moly barstock. Our collar replaces the narrow oil pump drive originally machined on earlier Nissan R32 RB26DETT crankshafts, as well as all RB20DET, RB25DET, RB30E and RB30ET crankshafts. It can also be used to replace a worn oil pump drive on R32, R33 and R34 RB26DETT crankshafts. Our collar provides full engagement on the inner oil pump gear which greatly reduces the likelihood of oil pump gear breakage in these engines.

Each collar is supplied with detailed instructions and fasteners. Machining is required to fit this collar and therefore it can not be fitted to a crankshaft while still fitted to an engine. We can supply and fit the collar to your crankshaft for AU$350, or AU$550 to chemically clean your crankshaft, supply and fit the collar, check journal sizes, micropolish the crankshaft journals and fit screw in oil gallery plugs.

We have collars in stock ready to ship.

AU$150 each or AU$125 in multiples of 5 or more

this is pro engines.. probably be worth sending your crank and pump over to him! have dealt with him in the past and he is tops... very clued up on 26's

why not collar it?

only requires, machining down and interferance fit/grubscrew

I had a collar but sold it as I've decided to go a different way. I want the snout welded up and machined back to suit my oil pump gears with my specified clearance.

What exactly is the question ? Do you want to know if anyone has used Performance Unlimited ? There are plenty of performance workshops around who could provide similar advice.

Have you read the thread on Oil Control ? Do you have oil restrictors etc ?

Hmmm, I hope this isn't too off topic, but I'm curious about something.

I saw you mentioned in a post a while ago about changing out your lifters and valve springs to push your red line up to ~9000rpm. Where did you get work like this done? I'm quite keen to do this myself as I've swapped out my turbo recently to a 3076, and while lag for these isn't meant to be too bad, it is, at the end of the day a reasonably sized high mount turbo, and I fear that soon I will be lamenting my lack of reponse. How do you rate the change, would you do it again? Is it a good idea?

I saw in the same post you mentioned that you thought most engines would become innefficient at that point, and I'm with you on that, but at which point would you say it becomes unfeasible to rev an rb engine?

Apologies for the essay, but curiosity really has gotten the better of me. And plus I've remembered my password for the first time in weeks and been able to login on something other than my (currently dead) main pc.

Cheers,

Tim

EDIT: Feel free to PM me on the subject to stop this getting even further off topic.
