Heya Guys,

Me and my mechanic have been mucking around a bit with timing and throttle control coz in the morning i have to put my foot down on the accelerator for about 5 secs until it comes back to the correct idling. The revs first thing in the morning are really low so much so that it just about conks out on a start in the cold morning. We put my timing up and now the idling is revving at 750.

Any of you guys able to tell me what your idling is revving at?

When dead cold mine idles around 1200 then settles to 750 once warm. 25GTT did the idle play up once you had the SAFC fitted/tuned? Coz the SAFC shouldn't effect idle unless you've mucked around with the (DEC-AIR) which I think is only used if your BOV is venting to atmo.

On cold start mine will idle at more than 1000rpm, perhaps like 1200rpm if I remember.

Once the engine is warmed up, it idles at around 650rpm to 700rpm.

isnt this because of the auto choke?
