Yeah no problem, just swap shit over including ECUs and wiring...

For it to be legal it'd need to be mod plated/engineered, cos it'll have a different engine in it, and the car will be registered as an auto, non-turbo still.

does this depend on what state your in?????

because in nsw, my mate swapped a rb26det into his 34gt, and he just got it re-registered and thats it. he didnt have to get no engineers cert etc, apparently because they have the same shells, the r34gt and gt-t's. so they said its automatically a turbo shell so no need to get plates and engineers. and also beforehand, he did upgrade the brakes to GTR ones.

unless you are able to get the GT cheap, it would be easier to just buy one that is already turbo, swap over any upgraded parts that yours has and then sell the rest of your car off. will work out a lot cheaper and save a lot of dicking aroung

i think your spot on mad082

yeah iv had a lil look around, difference is only a couple of grand between a NA n turbo... so i might just go with a turbo and swap my parts over, but i was just curious if it could be done

i managed to call Vic Roads.. they say as long as its the same series/model.. they would just need to register it on their books and thats it... no cost n no cert needed

n i guess this way i could put together the best of 2 cars lol n sell the rest off

cheers all much appretiated
