Hi Guys,

Found out something amazing today...

I've been doing alot of research on buying an Exedy Clutch.

Decided to get an Exedy Brass Button Clutch Kit.. Rang up half a dozen shops and the lowest i got was $935.

Surprisingly i rang up super cheap auto and asked if they do 'price beating' and they told me they did and i gave them the part number of the Exedy Clutch & the number of the shop that quoted me 935$.

She then told me she can do it for $850.

That is a truly amazing price.

So if it helps anyone call up with a part you may want and super cheap will probably do it cheaper..

sure as hell worked for me :ninja:

scuse the ignorance,

But about 2 years ago I bought an exedy cushion button clutch from Sliding Performance.... don't know whats happened to them now, but their site is gone....

cost me $400 sent to my door... only difference between buying it from him was it was under half the price of other places and it came unpainted... whereas normal exedy products come in pink i believe?

so $850 to me seems steep?

thanks for that info mate...will do try my luck when hunting for parts with them...didnt really think they do that..should ask repco they might do that too..

Repco do it. I got about 10% cheaper than Supercheap's shelf price for gearbox oil.

they were daikin, not excedy. there was a difference, hence theprice

SUPER CHEAP AUTO IS SH*T DONT GO THERE FOR ANYTHING ,

UNLESS ITS OUT OF A CAN = PATHETIC !!!!!!!!!

You're an idiot.

Supercheap have everything from cheap shitty chinese crap through to SNap on and other top of the line stuff. Pretty much anything you want, you can get at Supercheap and at prices as good as anywhere.

As for the people who work there, I've found their spare parts people to be as good as anywhere.

And if you walk into any parts store not knowing exactly what you need and can't go up and say to the people "I want this - part 938hfwe9f89234 - the PBR one, not the Nissin one" then STFU. You're a bigger f**king nubcake then the people working there.

As for the Clutch, I got a clutch from Bundoora Brake and Clutch for $380 (standard) a couple months ago. The HD ones were about $550 and they used Exedy Pressure Plates and Clutch plates - can't remember the thrust bearing brand but it was named. They were branded differently, but actually had a little Exedy logo on them.

the local one is f**king useless. the people there wouldn't know a spark plug from an oil filter. Crappy range of parts, every time I ask them if I order something in I get some BS response (ok so staff quality is going to vary between stores), and they are more expensive than Sprint or Bursons on nearly everything. They are only good for cheap audio stuff IMO (since here it's a choice of them, Autobarn or Repco lol)

I get a discount at Autobarn, which brings their prices into line with Burson's regular prices LOL

Im not the only one , whos been farked off by Super cheap incompetence , they deserve to be out of business boy .

I bet you love the $2 shop as well wanker!

I agree, at least Repco most times has more than one 12 year old behind the cash register .

I noticed most repco employees have a pretty good clue when it come to mechanicals .

Goodluck getting help or anything useful from Super crap auto

they were daikin, not excedy. there was a difference, hence theprice

crazy.... no one has ever told me that until now... and he definitely sold it to me under the impression it was an exedy, im not pissed about it, for $400 and its still going, just on its limits with my car on the power it is now...

is "daikin" a purchasable brand for consumers like exedy or a wholesaler item only?

Okay,

First off, My clutch is for R34 GTT. (Pull) Which is alot more expensive. The 33' clutchs are around $400.

Second, Super cheap is a ripoff, (everyone knows that) but since the price beating it works out to be cheaper then any place..

LOL at some of the comments. I work at supercheap Auto. All of the guys at my store own imports and know a fair bit about them. Yes, there may be some stores that have staff who arn't the greatest. As for the products, we can order almost anything you can think of!! My boss ordered his GT3582r just a few weeks ago and you'll be suprised at the prices compared to what other businesses try to sell them for!

Repco do it. I got about 10% cheaper than Supercheap's shelf price for gearbox oil.

is that 10% of the shelf price or trade price?

I got the trade card (or some sort of nice discount card) for them. So not sure if its going to work with it.

Get decent discounts anyway but if i can get shit cheaper why not try... :D
