ive got an old (like 6+ yrs old) Bel 990International and it still picks up everything

the warning distance for the new multinovas is reduced to about 100-50m, but its enough to slow down when your doing about 10kmh over

it doesnt 'build up' with the warning, it just all of a sudden cuts sick and beeps and flashes LASER

With regards to the current poliscan laser mobile cameras, do they get your speed 1st futher down the road & then wait for you to drive closer before taking your photo or is your speed taken around the same time (well slightly before) when the photo was taken.

Looking at some of my very old speeding fines, the photo seem to be taken pretty close to the actual camera, rough guess seem to be ~10m or less.

Those fixed laser cameras in the fixed box on the freeway gives the most warning when I'm driving towards them, the one near south tce exit everytime I come back from Curtin heading towards city direction would give me some 10 - 15 seconds of warning.

While normally the detection range appears to be ~100m - 120m which is about 4 or so seconds.

I have a Escort Passport 8500, gives me OK warning for the poliscan lasers, but I drove past the fixed camera on the freeway, no warning at all. I was expecting at least a little bit of pickup from bouncing on cars etc. Maybe it wasn't turned on?

Well its being almost another year & radar detectors are still legal in this state.

I have now moved my V1 detector from the R33 to my 335i as it is my DD now.
