Picking up this tasty treat Thursday. I'm gunna be out of here veeeeerry early Thursday morning.

Do you know it's exceptionally very expensive to transport this car with the parts in it. Just a box in the boot means the diferrence between $600 & $1000.00 and they don't want to know anything.

It's going to cost me about $300.00 Diesel, $170.00 accommodation for a couple of nights + meals and 1500k on the car.

Cheers, D

Cant answer that question, only that they do & I tried to discuss a spare tyre and they say that's part of the car, but I couldn't convince them so I'm picking it up and having a holiday for a couple of days. Feast on some local seafood and imported beverage.

It is all to do with insurance coverage (particularly public liability) for the transport company. Insurers hate unknown risks so the policy issued to the transport company does not cover items that are not part of the car. They have to procure excess insurance coverage if there are additional items, hence the increased cost and administrative hassle.

It's back in town. Cost of fuel up and back was excellent, used just on 200L for round trip of just over 1600k and it's heaps better in the flesh. Was a private import in 1985 and quite possibly a custom order, as it has an R200 diff under the ass end. Not a stock item in an povity pack KHR30 Skyline.

I'm going to do a FAST check on the chassis number, but I expect it to be built 1982 or there abouts.

Cheers, D

    • Did a conversion on my rb20 with rb25 cam and pulley, controlled it with a solenoid (forgot the port diameter of the solenoid)  and made an oil port on the cam cap to lower pressure in the journal. Difference  is day and night, the rb20 isn't dogshit down low anymore, not a powerhouse but this had add much welcomed torque down low. Boost build a bit sooner and torque rise way more when it start building boost. Only need to deactivate the VTC past 6500/7000rpm.   Knowing how it help with only 2L, having it on 2.6L it should be a mod to think about early on as it gives a lot of performance on most on the rev range.

    • Not too sure, the throttle body has 4separate plugs going to it. Im not sure if the throttle is driven by cable and the motor is for traction, cruise and something there light blue one is TPS. i don't understand why the throttle won't open with the cable until about 3/4 on them only moves the valves very slightly
