^X Type jag is the mondeo, not S type..

Still, do not want.

Toyota 4l V8 much better.

But I'm a little bias for the 4.4l V8 out of an E39 540i..... (220+rwhp stocky, Americans love them - Superchargers)

Had one, loved it. Can be had for low to high teens depending on colour, mods and kms.

You seriously think about soarer and S-Type Jags (Social suicide buying any of them)

Just buy 1998 TOYOTA CHASER JZX100 and be done with it

Its Toyota and Import with decent looks

It got your 2.5 Turbo VVTI engine

Few Manuals available

and got 4 door and big boot

hahaha - oi be nice maclaren!

they're not all bad =)

but yes it you're right it pretty well is social suicide buying one - everyone assumes you listen to Dr Dre and wear a hat backward..

personally i think JZX100 is also social suicide now - these cars are getting to be the new S13! aaaand also their interior is pretty ... crud.

If you think imports are expensive to maintain try looking after a V8 Jag,

Did. Was only slightly more expensive than my S14 thus far and had it four times as long. Reliability was absolutely no problem. Just don't go to Jaguar. Downshire Motors on Waverly Rd is way better and specialise in new Jags (got all the computer software etc.). $400 for a major (110,000Ks) that Jag wanted $2,200 for. Sold it 'cause I couldn't stand the auto; otherwise, great car.

Not recomending you go get a big, automatic, luxury sedan but, if you do feel so inclined...

sounds like a supra auto -> 6spd conversion.

Correct.

Ugh I could think of anything worse than an S Type Jag - tarted up Ford Mondeo...

It actually shares a chassis with the Lincoln LS. Nothing to boast about but not a Mondeo (which was car of the year you may remember). They used the S-Type platform for the new XK and XF. The handling and rip your face off brakes suprised all passengers. They'd keep up with a good E46 anyday and probably outbrake all but an M3 (some serious anchors).

the jag you saw the other day and thought "man i don't see what's so special about jags":

...and the Japanese jaguar specialist tuning house J-complete's version of that car.

were selling one man, come around sometime next week i'll show you mine, and the one we're selling..

but honestly i wouldn't be so inclined to get a V8... emv system is too prone to failure, if i were your mum i'd be looking to a vvti late model 2JZ G-pack...

its not the V8 but full features but newer and without the "temperamental" features of the V8.. very economical too..

but yeah PM me and organise a time to come around next week

edit: 173km - thats nothing in terms of a V8.. the V8 soarers are mechanically reliable as an ox. it's just the electronic stuff i wouldn't trust!!!

I agree about the interior generally being average at best but i sure hope they don't become the new s13 although would be nice for a manual example to be reasonably priced

If you like that Jag, check this out:

S-Type

If you want bling, like Hummers and write "Only tasteful mods" in your carsales ads then maybe a Jag isn't for you. Great cars to drive though. And I'm not comparing them to a GTR, I'm comparing them to a V8 Lexslush. If you like the LS400 you'll like a modern Jag :P

    • They should do. I have S14 (or something S chassis, anyway) driveshafts in my R32 (because my diff flanges have 3x2). They're the right length. When you go looking for R32/3/4 driveshafts (for turbos), they're all the same thing, so are the same length. So there really shouldn't be any reason why those cheapies from JJ won't also fit an R34. R32/3 NA should also be the same thing. The (3x the price) D-Max ones are uni-fit. They have 5x1 and 3x2 bolt holes and say they cover all the cars. So that would also suggest that they are all the same except for the flanges. And in that case, the flange goes both ways. I'd be buying the D-Max ones if I ever have to replace a shaft. Because that will open up diff options without needing to juggle shafts also. Juggling shafts is gay.
    • Yeah with the adaptors they do look like the photo above - just the fitment within the plenum itself and then further with the rail to the intake is questionable - we shall see tomorrow hopefully once I get some replies from Aeroflow, maybe those bosses are the missing piece....
    • Should be fine, if you have it sitting too far in, you end up just spraying the walls and have shit idle. You "can" run them like that, however I don't think it's a great idea (also depends on your plenum, might be good to just get the injector bosses first, mock it up and see if you need to get the bottom extension) Ideally your injectors, with the extension should look like this  (Not my photos, just Google)
    • Thanks for the replies guys, it's really appreciated.  It seems the kit was supposed to come with those injector bosses but hasn't. Unsure if they'll help as even with the adaptors to make them a 3/4 height injector they still sit too far out so mount the fuel rail?
    • Hello, I am looking to replace my two rear drive shafts in my R34 N/A Skyline but I'm finding conflicting information. Do S13/S14/S15 or R32 NA/ R33 NA fit? https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-rear-drive-shaft-l-h-nissan-silvia-s13-s14-s15-3x2-type?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqY7EwDaYCUoUU3mxxZ_qrUXkVVHiV4MIN7ozoar6scjnEiekv- would this fit?
