What an awesome day! The forecast all week was not looking good for the weekend and certainly Sat lived up to the hype. However Sun proved to be pretty good weather for racing at PI.

After a day of mixing it up with slick shod GT3 cup cars, ex V8 supercars and pretty much any other car you can think of, I ended up with a new PB of 1:47.14 besting my previous by around 2.5 secs. To say I'm wrapped would be an understatement as my goal for the day was to get into the 47's let alone a low 47. Big thanks to Russ - without us trading times and having a ding dong battle via the timing sheets all day I probably wouldn't have pushed as hard as I was.

Despite a small group from SAU which is the norm these days at track events it is a good indicator of the depth of driver talent when every class we were put in (rightly or wrongly ) has an SAU member at the top of the tree - congrats to all and once again an amazing effort by Russ

Dane - where were you? I would've thought with some Radicals on track you would've been there for sure. That was no ordinary Z...put it this was the model badge at the back said 600Z instead of 260Z giving us a clue - passed me on the straight like I was standing still

I've been informed it's an ex-Nascar engine with custom 4wd system in the old 260Z shell. Kevin Mackrell is the driver. Absolutly crazy speed in a straight line!

I was at Presidents day for the Porsche Club on Sunday as I wanted my lady friend to go for a ride in a club car and see what it was all about. Would have liked to come down though.
