S15 Switching Off By Itself When Driving..

Hey guys, not sure where to post this but my mates s15 is switching off by itself while driving...

He'd drive.. and it will randomly switch off, regardless of speed.....

The lights would come on and he will just start the engine and off he goes again..

Been to a few auto elecs and cant seem to find the problem

anyone know what it iis?

Maybe something to do with the ecu. I know in skylines u have a self diagnostic function in the car which can give u a basic overview if a problem I am not sure if s15 have the same thing but u can always find a mechanic that has electronic diag software so he can hook up ur mates car to a comp and find what is wrong with it

I also don't know with S15 but my mate's Evo 8 MR was the same and he said retuning will get rid of it. His car just die at every stop and has to start up again.

does it have an aftermarket air filter/pod?

might be some grime on the afm

I knew it was the blocked off BOV...... bloody moron told me it wasnt...
