I renewed my rego last week.... I grabbed a ticket and then left...had lunch and a coffee...and when I came back they STILL weren't up to my number LOL

You have to now pay an annual fee for plates like mine, which are the premium three letters, two numbers, and a letter. Before it was a one off $150 or something, now its an upfront plus annual.

Geez. I dunno guys i never wait more than 5 minutes at the RTA. You just pick really bad times. I always go in and theres noone around.

I wouldn't bother with $400 a year. I had the plates made a while ago and as I'm selling my other car I want those plates instead. (unless someone buys them off me).

It also depends strongly on the RTA office you choose.

QUITE OBVIOUSLY if you pick the ones in the busy shopping centres, you're gonna get screwed.

You need to find the ones hidden in industrial areas (where the truckies are).

I never had to wait at Mascot/Rosebery, Silverwater is ok.

MACQUARIE CENTRE IS FAARRKED!

But as if you'd drive a Skyline there anyway...

If you go in to "swap your plates" doesn't some kind of intuition tell you you'll need to take in the plates you want to swap. Just curious
