pretty sure wrx injectors are side feed? maybe they use either or depending on engine model

injectors arent necessarily engine/car specific so dont get worked up just yet

to my knowlegde some of the STI come out side feed and a few come out top feed

Lol, no worries :(

Well thanks again to Oz for helping me out; it seems I may have hit a snag. Will go and discuss it with my tuner tomorrow, but unfortunately these injectors are a far bit bigger than the standard GTT injectors so it doesn't look like they will fit. Everything else is the same, plugs will fit, injectors will fit into the rail... But the rail is going to require a rather large spacer to fit them. Does anyone know how large a spacer you can use on the R34 rail before it fouls on the plenum? These injectors look like they are going to require around 1cm to fit...

that is how they are supposed to fit. with spacers in the rail. and yes most likely the seller took these out of his car and replaced them with new sard injectors and put the old injectors into the sard boxes for posting to you. that is the most likely explanation. not sure what made you so paranoid. not everyone is out to rip people off.

if these things worry you and you have trouble trusting people it's probably wise to just buy stuff brand new. it will cost more but it will come in boxes clearly marking what the stuff is.

Yeh I know most injectors require a spacer, I was expecting to have to use a spacer, but 1cm is huge. If they fit, it's going to be very very close to hitting the plenum. Should be able to work something out though.

The seller said he was selling his car so he wasn't going to bother upgrading the injectors. He never installed these injectors in his car, he bought them and had them sitting around for a year before he decided to sell his car along with all the mods he had planned for it. Which is why the Sard boxes made me curious. As well as the fact I got them so cheap when they are basically brand new. I just wanted to know for sure what type of injector they were, not that I was putting some crappy Chinese rubbish in. The boxes are very faded and worn as well.

I'm not normally paranoid, but with my fuel system I am. Not all people are out to rip people off, but some are, so I thought it better to be safe than sorry. I had no intention of buying second hand until these came along, the guy seemed genuine and I got them really cheap so I couldn't go past them.

fair enough. well given how cheaply you scored them, and given that they are second hand and possibly not what you think they are I'd say it's worth spending $100-$150 getting them cleaned and flow tested. any good workshop or EFI specialist place can do it for you and then you'll know EXACTLY what they flow. :D I agree fuel system is deadly important. definitely not an area I ever skimp on.
