cant u just keep a log of the edited post, only visible to admins/mods?

i just went through a article i read and noticed a few slip ups in it which are wrong, this wasnt even in the for sale section and i wasnt able to edit it. it says i am still able to delete my posts below, but not edit them either.

Oh and whats with the trader rating? I have sold and bought a couple of things off here... still 0!

Or do you have to be a big trader to change it?

you NEED someone to give you the trader rating, sau wont magically know you traded something successfully.

tell the people you sold thing to or bought things off you to give you a positive trade rating

dont need to be a big trader

^^^ what he said, its really hard to keep up to date. Im now taking orders for my group buy but I cant clearly update my front page.

I'm trying to edit my very first post in a advert/topic i have created in the classified sub-forum but for some reason i can't do it anymore.

Like i mean whose genius idea was it to get rid of the edit function?

I'm still getting people asking " Hey, do you still the wheels "..

Maybe i would like to remove my phone number in that topic that's for all to see after my business was done? Ever though of that? HUH.. HUH??

like others in this thread i've got numerous threads open with items listed up that sold ages ago, and I keep getting pms asking if theyre still for sale.. frustrating!

I don't know of any other trading forum anywhere that has stopped people from editing their posts.. bad idea big time, imo.

had 1 more thread sent to me today. The complaint to action ratio is pretty low. at the moment the mods are happy to edit any reported posts

I reckon it's low because people no one knows they need to report the post in order to get it edited, everyone thinks reporting is for offensive/illegal/whatever posts

On a related note I sent a edit request yesterday and the post is still the same..

I Really like how it used to be. My event thread is on hold cause I cant edit posts, I run my events on peoples input and then change the first post and everyone knows to go there for the information not scramble through pages to find out what we are doing for the month..

Also it is true that most fourm members have no clue about the new systems that has started with reporting posts to edit information
