Hey guys the 31 got broken into again a few days ago I didn't notice at first just thought my ignition barrel was playing up a bit, key was real stiff and gritty in the barrel and even after driving for a while I didn't click. I had a balance and wheel alignment and just thought the steering wheel was not centred but when I finally saw that my centre piece of the steering wheel wasn't clipped in properly I noticed the left hand side of the wheel was bent back a bit towards the dash not a huge amount but enough so the centre won't clip back on that side. It was then I worked it out and actually found that my left hand door lock had been totally f**ked. I'm guessing they got in and tried bending the steering wheel to try and get the oldschool club lock off and when that failed just left it. Just a reminder to keep an eye out and don't get lazy. Sometimes I just can't be bothered putting the steering lock on but it's saved me twice now so don't get complacent. That was at firthside in Kingston and I did consider that a remotely safe place but I'm giving that a rethink now. I guess its just better to not to take anywhere for granted cause it's not the area it's the f**kwits that wander on through.

yeah, some of my family lives in firthside, always thought it was safe until i heard of certain 'people' occupying that area. i pretty much only park my 32 in 1 of 3 places.. ever.. luckily nothing major has ever been done to it (except one time an ex gf's ex bf's drug f**ked mate decided to go key happy on it and coat it in plaster of paris.. i mean wtf.. plaster of paris.. who carries that around.)

would of loved to have kept my 31, loved that car , but was paranoid leaving it anywhere so sold it to fund my new engine build..

just jap sell removable hubs + locking plates as well , $200 well spent imho, and killswitches people.. hidden.. random place kill switches.. ive seen 4 awesome kill switch designs that i plan to implement with my car... i have 3 already ;)

I don't like the sound of people getting broken into in firthside... I haven't had any issues but she's normally out of sight from the road and doesn't really draw a great amount of attention luckily. I had heaps of problems when I lived down in Bellerive beach, but you can't expect too much when you're living in a housing estate.

I was kind of hoping there wasn't any issues in firthside as I've seen some nice cars sitting on the street which haven't been touched. I may need to up my security over the next little while, nothing like building a few technological theft deterrents.

Jay

dont think the people i know of reside in firthside anymore, as long as your off the street you should be ok, i think people target imports cause they are jealous and want one themselves. easier to replace a lock or window than a whole car i say.
