I was carrying some Duracell rechargeables on the weekend when Kory, Matt, Sidd and myself met up for a shoot, and they failed in my flashes, even though they'd previously been fully charged using a Powerex charger bought from here. I had to borrow Kory's Eneloops and use those (thanks again, by the way) - unfortunately I'd left my Eneloops at home... >_< Oh well, at least it worked out in the end.

The Eneloops are awesome, by comparison, so I'll be buying another 8 more of them soon so I always have them ready to go on hand even when carrying two flashes around like I had on the weekend.

Same link I posted, Rhys... Oh, and make sure you get a quality charger too, it'll extend your battery life.

Next day delivery if you order before midday too!

Thanks Nick! I should be asleep right now, but instead I'm buying batteries... Hahaha.

But WHY did you show me that website!! Looks like I'll be kissing my pay cheque good buy within hours of recieving it :) So many nice lights that I want/need/desire...

I got mine from Dick Smith also. Although i could of saved $1 or something buying online, i wanted them then and there.

How many batteries are you buying to kiss your paycheck goodbye?! You running your entire house off eneloop powah?

I wouldn't really say Eneloops are "cheapies".
oh no sorry I didn't mean to imply eneloops were cheapies. I meant Eneloop "or" cheapies... if you get what I mean.

I used to use Eneloops before I discovered Powerex's. The Eneloops are on par with the 2400mAh Powerex's, but the 2700mAh's are in a class of their own.

No worries Funkymonkey :) Didn't think you meant that :)

Does the 300mAh really make that much difference? I've used Sony batteries that were rated at 2700mAh and the eneloops still outperformed them.

I'll have to test out the Powerex's :D

Also - If anyone is keen for 3rd party batteries (Minus the 5D2 and 7D because of the intelligent battery thing) go to www.sterlingtek.com ! Super cheap batteries that outperform canon/Nikon batteries. The American guys swear by them and they are cheap too!

Sorry - Don't have any discount codes etc.. But its seriously cheap! For the price of one 3rd party battery here, you can get 2 from there that are more powerful and stronger. I had 5 of them when i had my 50D and now i have to buy genuine. Although apparently the e-bay "Decoded" LP-E6 batteries are quite good, but the canon still holds charge the longest.

Nah Rhys runs his house on eneloops don't you

I live alone now, so my house is lit by torches, its cheaper ;)

Dammit, wish I hadnt rushed out and bought those batteries online now. My good mate is 2IC at Dick Smiths, he would have got me a discount!! Bugger. Oh well, I know for next time.
