Boosting

Hey guys i have series2 R33 gtst with front mount, pod filter and cat back exhaust.

I brought a manuel boost controller and want to boost it to about 10pound, want to know if i should do any mods first, maybe doing full exhaust first....

do a full 3" turbo back exhaust with highflow cat. That'll get the most out of it.

But you MIGHT run into R&R

Rich and Retarded. When the ECU detects airflow has increased past a certain point, it does that to protect the engine. It assumes that something has gone wrong and the turbo is going to continue building boost, so it retards the ignition timing and dumps heaps of fuel into the engine. This feels like you just completely took your foot off the throttle.

you should be fine on 10psi though.

but nothings stopping you from putting in the boost controller on before an exhaust either...

i got the same mods as above, except i got a full exhaust / oil cooler - im running 10psi with no problems.. anything above 10psi i get slight R&R
