M35 Stereo

hi guys just picked up my 03 rs stag and because its a jap import the radio staions are up the wazoo does anyone have a link to pull the center console/dash apart or is it just a mater of taking bolts out. its got a doulbe din unit in now so i belive it couldve been the single din with gauge setup

Its essentially the same process as http://g35ipod.com/installHW.php from what I understand. Not something I've attempted though.

make sure you get the bolt under the plastic cover which is around the digital display

Do some m35's come with single din stereos? I thought they were all double din..

My RS came with a single DIN Clarion, above it is a single din set of gauges; Volts, Torque Split & Boost. With both of these removed you could go double din, I just fitted a single din Pioneer with ipod connectivity & bluetooth, and kept my gauges.

Has anyone attempted to cut DIN holes out on their M35 Stagea with the stereo moulded into the facia? I was thinking (when I get my Stag) of cutting mine out to double-DIN dimensions and putting a PC and proper touch-screen display in.

You cant cut a hole in the facia if you have the bose. The circuit board has the air con controls on it. You will have to get an aftermarket dash with double din hole and air con controls. Or one from a wrecked car
