New Toy-r32 Gtr With R33 N1 Eng & R34 N1 Turbos!

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Just picked up this R32 GTR with an R33 N1 Eng and R34 N1 Turbos with 35,000kms on them. Car has Volk C28s and VSpec 2 Brembo's up front. Car is full of goodies and is set up for track work and makes 320KW at the wheels. Apexi PFC, Oil Ctach Can, Teflon Breaded Brake Lines, HKS Drag Intercooler,Greddy Cam Gears, Oil Cooler and 11 suspension braces through out make this car drive and handle unbelivably :P

Previous ownership both here and in Japan was th biggest reason for purchasing, as owner in Japan completed a ground up rebuild in 2004 and this was when the N1 gear was added. Interior is immaculate and car is as tight as I have ever seen a R32 to be. No clunkiness with this car at all, doors are tight and quite, as owner in Japan worked for Nissan on changed alot of small rubber parts to make things work like new.

Obviously pretty happy with the car abnd look forward to getting out and using it on some track days in the next few months!!

Plans are Tint, as well as powder coating wheels black, or upgrading to 18" Black rims and maybe a carbon front splitter.

Feedback Welcome-

Jamie,

You ended up trading M3 for it?

I did Grant. The M3 was a great car and if wasnt able to trade with this GTR, would have happily kept it and enjoyed ownership.

The detail on this R32 is amazing, each time I go over I see another kool feature or jst simply the cleaness of it.

Will be driven a few days a week but wont see many Kms at all and have my wife cars for rainy days. Looking forward to turning this R32 into one of the best in OZ over the next few years :P

Congrats on the car! Nice ride.

Where does the oil catch can drain back to - the sump, the hole for the dipstick, back to the turbos?

I will check it out and let you know.

Taking it down to Geelong today, good weather and nice roads!! What a Sunday:)

Jamie,

That is nice example of 32R, good list of modifications.

How does the M3 compares to current and your previous GTR's?

Cheers

I have had both stock GTRs and heavily modded as this one is and the M3 is a totally different machine. Stock R33 GTR and M3 felt similar to me, a little bigger but the M3 definately felt lighter.

The current R32 feels like a nice smooth 5 year old car, as alot of the small rubbers, door jams etc etc have been replaced and it is super quite and solid. Then you sit it at 3000rpm and stick the foot it and it comes to life!!!! The acceleration and sound is amazing :D Definately know you are driving something special. I felt I was getting a little mature for the GTRs and especially the R32s as alot of them look either beaten up or far too sooped up for a mid 30 professional. But this one looks super classy and not overdone- Very Happy :D

I have changed cars fairly often through the years, but I can guarantee this one wll be with me for a long time!!

Just be careful with the N1 motor mate.

They still have all the weaknesses of a stock RB26 and realistically are no stronger than a stock motor in most situations - especially track work :worship:

So overfill 1ltr, and if you cant afford to break it... be careful!

Craig's car was very clean, no doubt about that :)

Nice buy, interesting to see what the final sale price was for such a car...

Thanks R31Nismoid, will definately be careful with it as I know the Oil issues RB26 can have at the track. Might even be too clean a car to track it, might sit in my garage for the 90% of its life :)

Omega36, wasnt in Port Melbourne.

    • Is the 650rpm idle on the rb25det neo for stock cars only? I've never had my car before and after tuning it to idle at 650rpm when cold. Always idle's cold around 1100rpm, and then drops to about 900-950rpm. I've heard the r33 gtst's idle there.

    • Hi all, I’m currently running a str pipe hi low hks exhaust and downpipe. Was wondering if I change out muffler to a titanium one will it change the sound of the exhaust? Plus I have always liked the look of the titanium pipes … anyone have recommendations to one?    side note already have titanium intake pipes.
    • I looked up my other car that is a R33 GTST series 1.5. Anyone able to confirm what a Aero Form Bumper is?     (1G) 2 Door Coupe; (2GK + 11V) RB25DET; (4B) 2WD HICAS; (7F) 5 Speed Manual; (14G) Super Fine Hard Coat; (15U) Large Rear Spoiler + Aero Form Bumper + Rear Wiper (Aero Selection)
    • Ha ha, all good! I've almost caved in and realised I'm buying one.  I know myself well enough by now that I will start chasing ADHD butterflies half way through building it and not finish it so I'm better off spending the extra money buying one instead of making one just so I can get into straight away.  I would very much enjoy making one as fabrication is probably a strength and definitely a passion but I don't want that to be at the detriment to the car I'm ultimately building it for! There's some pretty good ones around for ~$1100 at the moment so I think I'll just go that way.  At the end I sell it or as mentioned, get another project to make further use of it! Thanks gents.
