Hi Tridentt

He has FMIC, ECU, injectors, fuel pump.

He needs turbo, spacer, oil & water lines, dump pipe/exhaust mods(assuming he doesn't shoehorn it into a nissan turbine housing), tune and labour. It should be less than $5k from here on stock bottom end.

Depends what turbo he opts for, a HKS 2835 or 3037 will nearly set him back that on its own. A 3076 is around the $2K mark then dump etc plus tune............I'll stick to my $5K, though he might get change for a meal at Macca's :)

And I did say depending on his final preference btw [my out for overquoting :)]

3076r turbos r around $1600 delivered mark and any mechanic tuner could fit one for around $500 mark... f**k me u guys must get completey ass raped with pricing and labour lol feel sorry 4 ppl paying 4 the NAME. haha

I say we go to Quay or somewhere poncey with the change. :)

Plus a dump pipe say $300, dyno tune $500-800, air intake pipes $300, oil/water lines $250, heat shield $100 = $3700 and I probably haven't thought of everything?

You can't do it for peanuts, plus I know I purchased my 3076 for $1600 but that was 2-3 years ago and if you go to GCG or someone its closer [last time I looked] to $2000. So if I use that then total is $4100.

And I bet he'll need a new mani gasket and studs, so add another $200 plus labour. And with that sort of turbo I'd have an oil catch can installed so add another $200.

Shit if he took some of the other prices being bandied about, he'd have a half built car and no $$$$ left to finish it.

Also, I just looked at the slide show, he needs to find out what turbo he has? I see that he has a HKS actuator, the bit of turbo I can see doesn't look like a HKS unit, but it's hard to tell what it is.

mate ive been there and done this turbo so im going off experience :)

u can sit there and name prices all day long. and if u spent $4100 roughly then your a sucker.

So have I and if you can find parts cheaper then good for you, but every price I've listed is pretty much what the market rate is, if you can build one for less then you must have got a heap of free bits?

air intake pipe $300?

4" 90 degree stainless bend $40 ( from stainless shop )

4" k&n filter $80

4" silicon hose $22 (ebay thru proboost)

clamps $10

$152 total

but feel free to spend $300 on a intake pipe?

want me 2 keep going

custom oil feed line $100

drain bolts up perfect

can modify the ends of factory water lines to suit the gt30 housing think i paid $65 thru enzed with new ends

so $165 for water/oil line setup.

Im sure he already has a 3" dump of some sort

so any NORMAL person would modify the existing dump to suit the new turbo which would be 2 parts of f**k all maybe $100 if your lucky.

him replacing his manifold gasket and studs is completey up 2 him, manifold doesnt really need 2 come off unless he wants 2 go external gate setup and run it from the manifold, i had 4 studs missing for 3yrs and never leaked.

tune would only need a touch up not a complete retune so around $200-300 ( like i said alot of guys pay 4 the BIG fancy workshop name 2 tune it and get shafted )

Remember that is an externally gated turbo, internally gated turbos are more expensive

he could also run the external gate setup from his exhaust housing, which i done for 2yrs and is prob the best setup ive ever had, my tuner done that for $200..

It's an on the spot $800 fine in vic, Tao from hypergear got done with this.

wouldnt the fine be the same no matter what as you aren't running a stock turbo, external internal or external via the housing doesn't matter?

yes i know this

only a few hundred $ between them though.

well if u live in vic ur f*ked then, move state and mod ur car.

I was fined for a high mount turbo setup, POD, and BOV, I had internal gate. $760 fine for the EPA. Thats the worst fin I've ever cooped.

I was pulled numerous many times since. How ever the internally gated turbo with stock manifold wasn't some thing on the defect list.

The current fine for ext gate or de-cat is $4600. You can pass it onto the person who've done it for you if its not your self. I had a customer cooped that, dragged it on and ended up with $5200 fine. He had to strip and sell his joy to pay it off.

The EPA in Vic is BS. They need to re-think they fine structure based on people's income.

dont think i need a thicker head gasket till i break 500hp i heard the stock internals can handle over 550 .. but considering the Gt3076 i rang up the turbo tuner today and he was sort of talking about a Gt28 Hybrid where they take my old turbo out and machine out the compressor housing or someshit.. and it produces way more torque + hp n u can notice the difference and its much better for street racing apparently he reckons. so ima get my car run over the dyno next friday because he wants to know the power run results.etc etc.. also i dno if a GT3076 would fit because my turbo is low mounted theres not much room if u look at the pictures where the PODs poppin out..But i guess its his job to make it fit right? gotta run new oil + water lines to it aswell.. probly only looking to spend about $3000 at the most anyway.. its $1290 for the turbo itself ..so yehh ill keep u's updated .. Still not sure what the hell my turbo is xD cant get in there close enough to have a look.

the turbo he is talking about is your run of the mill highflow, check out the dyno sheets from hypergear and gcg for some similar results.

stock internals will not last making 500hp either, 400hp at the wheels would be the absolute max I would run through a standard motor, even then it wont last forever.
