Hesitation/Missing under boost

Hey all this is a tricky one but i thought id run it by you...

every now and then when i put my foot down it feels like as its starting to spool it hesitates like its trying to go but cant, then boost suddenly comes in as normal....

this isnt due to car being cold as it happens when car is warm (i dont give the car any gas when cold)

any ideas? plugs havent been changed for a while so im doing that on the weekend....

fuel mixture too rich? it happens with mine if I slam the pedal to metal. not too rushy with the pedal might help, just quick but controlled foot pressure.

Is this the dreded flat spot of the R33's?

I noticed mine does it the worst when I'm cruising at 80 or so, then drop it back to 3rd and floor it.

It hessitates, then takes off.

I remember there was a longish thread about it on SDU, and the general consenses was that the stock ECU was retarding the timing for some reason (too much air flow?).

Don't know, but it's a pain in the butt....

Yep....It's the ECU.

Get an SAFC or a new ECU & it will disappear. So I've heard......

do you have a massive ic and standard managment, problem is worse if you have larger turbo big ic and standard managment.

standard comp ****s itself when a larg turbo flows lots of air initially. my car does it regularly when i went back to standard managment

Yeah cars running a large FMIC, around 10 psi and standard ecu......

time for a power FC i think
