Mt Cotton Skid Pan

My office is heading to Mt Cotton in QLD for a christmas party on the skid pan. It's a controlled slide course in a Lotus. Own car is optional. Should I take the GT-R or would it be not worth it, warranty issue and more fun in a 2WD Lotus?

I'm thinking just a little play, let the staff have a play, nothing too crazy.

I have never used my own car on the Mt Cotton skid pan as I am told they use diesel to make it slippery. It may be ok if you manage to hose it all off but I have seen evidence of discoloured rubber trim etc. on cars that have been on that skid pan.

They do use diesel. but only a tiny amount. I believe it was 16L across the whole circuit.

I spent a day there many, many years ago in my fairly heavily worked Datsun 1600. My goodness it was a fun day.

Hard call on GTR over the Lotus. I'd take the GTR just so everyone would oooh and aaaah over it :P And it'd be a shite load of fun still! It's also helps you get a better understanding of your own cars capabilities.
