hey guys.

well i had a track day a month ago, on one of my laps my highmount's water feed must have been rubbing on the under bonnet heat protector stuff.

it caught alight and burnt the loom that goes to the afm.

when i saw the smoke come from the engine bay at the track i also noticed the standard rpm tacho in the dash drop to zero and not work.

today i finally got around to having a look at the burnt loom and found that none of the wires were broken or damaged.

anyone got any ideas on why my rpm would stop working?

would heat in the wires stop it?

the car ran fine except the rpm.

i would have thought the afm being in the same loom would have caused issues?!

i dont even know if the this loom has anything to do with rpm?

cheers
