Cheryl got her 1st shake down today and apart from a small issue with rear ride height,,,she did herself very proud. Turn in was beautiful,,,brakes were sensational and Duncan and I had a bloody ball. His old racecar Federal FZ201 were fantastic.

Cheers

Neil.

+1, first day out and almost no issues, I was stoked...excellent planning and work Neil.

It did probably 10x 15min sessions, and no issues other than a tyre rubbing which we can sort out. Pretty hot in the afternoon too.

the car handled very nicely, the front end grip was totally different to my gtr and a real pleasure. On the other hand you keep waiting for the power to arrive and it never does :P damn you nissan with your 7 pound of boost and little factory turbos

I reckon Neil will get bored with 150rwkw pretty quickly....maybe he already has? Even so I would guess lap times 1.15 to 1.12ish. No timer on board but there were videos so I guess he could work it out from that.

For a very first shakedown run this thing was great straight "out of the box" and ran well all day with no mechanical issues.

It looks like Clinton and I have been enlisted to find Neil a nice set of rims with a good offset and at the right price to complete the package.

Congatulations Neil (with help from Duncan and others) for doing the R33 brigade proud.

Thanks Brad for sorting out my suspension geometry,,,your a champion. None of this will end soon though,,,I still have lots of weight loss and even some gains.

Cheryl was just put back together before the end of 2011 so she could get log-booked.

Cheers

Thought I would do a little up-date from last weekend,,,lots more stuff was done but it was me doing boring shit.

I never ever wanted to put a monster tacho and shift light into the car so delete the tacho and just use this

Bit of head scratching on how to wire it up but works a bloody treat.

Here's some of the pics I took for logbooking and also did a little boost control setting up whilst we were out. Mr Highway patrolman didn't even blink an eye at us,,,thanks mate.

he bloody better be at round 1 MRA, otherwise I'll be pissed at working my arse off at this time of year.

today it got the guards rolled, oil cooler half done and new super duper custom clutch ready to go in.

Are you guys still planning to bring it down and do the clutch / rear main on a hoist?

good man Brad, thanks for the offer. Saturday would be perfect ;)

are you bringing something down to MRA?

Saturday coming?

Not a problem at all.

No I'm to busy building everyone elses cars to do anything about my own.

Latter in the year I'll have a look at running in one of the national Categories with a car I've got in mind.

Thanks for the loan of the hoist mate,,,you are a champion.

I got into a little trouble with Duncan over my wheel nut assortments so I thought it about time I actually got some new ones,,,no crappy alloy shit in this household,,, good old steel puppies.

I might still be in trouble though because these nuts use a 17mm socket and well bad bloody luck Handles.

Cheers

Neil.

It is good to see that you have finally got some nice nuts Neil!

Yeah we recently converted all of our cars over to 17 mm nuts (although I had to go for the alloy option to match the rim colour) which resulted in additional sockets to carry in the cars to get them off if you have a flat.
