Nothing to write home about at this stage, need more rpm/boost to hint at capability

I would say both of them are very unimpressive...

I hope you all are not referring to these results..

Saw a 9180 on a full race manifold today - looks the business, as does the rest of the car that had undergone some major work and really awesome to understand the concepts behind it all. Will be very interesting to see the results on 30psi

Hopefully they get posted up :D

Given this thread was started back in october last year Richard results are rare as robot shit.

I was a prospect for one of these turbos, All I wanted to see was some real world results. T'would appear I could die of old age before they are forthcoming.

There has been issues with the actual receiving of the goods for a number of people depending on the turbo/config you want.

Unfortunate as its holding up results more than what FullR have done etc.

yeah sorry noel. I view in different forum view to you (I think 20 posts per page or something?). but yeah scott above posted it again. my view has this as page 16.

cool nismoid. so is this a vic car or have you been to qld.....??

Check page 9 Noel the rb26 results are there for both e 8374 and the twin 6258 kit. Give it 3 weeks and there'll be local aus results. :-)

I'll be keeping my eyes on that one too..... if i ever get my motor back :(

do you know what rear the 8374 is??

Has anyone in Aussie got a 7670 or 8374 Twin Scroll yet?

Just wondering if they have started shipping yet?

yep there's an 8374 TS in sydney. not sure on 7670 as I don't know of anyone using one/waiting for one.

not sure when you ordered but we ordered and paid for the first 9180 late last year (november from memory). and same goes for the bloke in syd who got his 8374 TS. same goes for the other mate of mine who is getting an 8374 but he's still waiting as of yesterday.

but yeah I think they are slowly starting to trickle out. they really do need to start getting more out as without some volume in the market interest will peter out and everyone will just go back to what is easily available.

yeah mate it's 1.05 TS ext gate rear housing. going onto a 2.6L RB26.

BorgWarner is working as feverishly as possible to get them out the door. A foundry mishap really put them behind the 8-ball on this one (you blokes ever use that term?). The second foundry should have the first batch out in the next few weeks, hang in there.

Might have been a legal issue (BW & Garrett) than supply problems, which makes things interesting.

Some detail below, was resolved only a month and a bit ago. Whilst it's over Tit Comp wheels according to the release, could have been more there.

Hard to believe a foundry problem when they are 6-8 months behind, especially when only select people have received them after extensive complaints, after being told there were "none" - suddenly they got one ;)

Perhaps there is nothing in the above, perhaps there is. Either way people are starting to specific combos all of a sudden which is a good thing.

The only legal issue was Garret getting their hand slapped, but it had nothing to do with the EFR's delivery. I like how you're so sure it couldn't be a foundry issue...because you couldn't be further from the truth. I can't divulge everything, but I'll break it down for you and the rest of the readers in this thread. IT WAS A FOUNDRY PROBLEM. The first 250-300 housings turned into about 150 housings that actually passed BW's quality control. Those then went to machining and those 150 turned into 100pcs after a second quality control check in machining. Simple as that. When you remove ALL OF YOUR TOOLING from one foundry to another and start over because the first foundry was unable to replicate what they had made in the original prototype runs in bulk... you have a HUGE delay. None of this in conjecture, I know.

You are from Full-Race i take it?

Good to hear some more information - this is what we like to see, as there has been no mention of why there are issues that has been easily accessible, so one is just left to wonder at times

I'm am with Full Race, and thanks. I'm in direct contact with the BorgWarner EFR specific team on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis. It's been a very rough road. The reason you'll see certain people getting them right now is simple, those first 100 that FINALLY made it thru production are sneaking out. 100 turbo frames for the world is not an easy task to delegate. They have to get them to the distributors that ordered them first, then those distributors have to get them to the individuals that ordered them first. We have a talk with each person we ship them to as well before we ship them. We want to make sure they still want it, are ready for it, and can post results so the rest of the community is not left in the dark any longer than needed. We've even had one customer tell us he's not going to be ready for his for another few months, so to please find someone that's ready for it so they can post up results...good stuff. It's a tough and rigorous process, but we want everybody to see the results so they can make educated decisions as to whether they want to order (or wait for) these turbos. We want to make it fair for everybody involved. So does BorgWarner.

Totally understand all of that mate - makes good sense.

Just when you have no info, you just wait... and wait... and wait... One can only speculate on 12hr night shifts :turned:

We all just wanna see local results really (and no doubt you as well). Hopefully some Aus ones start coming through, I think we can expect those over the next 4-8 weeks on our fuels, air temps, street/race etc.

Hopefully EFR's are much easier to see a difference compared to the GTX series >_<

We've seen good results with the twin turbo set up, but haven't had a chance to really test the 8374 on the RB26 like we wanted (customer had a boost leak in dyno graph posted earlier). Now it's just too hot here to dyno it. We had a 118º day (48ºC) just the other day.... blink.gif

There is a twin kit now in AU as well as a 9180. So... we should see results soon!
