Ever had that sinking feeling in your stomach when you realise your missing something....?

I was walking out the door to go to work this morning and i was like where the farkk is my car? Way not cool!

Stolen from my driveway at a dead-end street my poor R33 GTS-T is all gone :D .

Worse thing is it was right under my nose and i didnt notice. I am friggin ticked i only had it for a month.

:P No i didnt have an alarm and i didnt have a kill switch LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ANYONE ELSE.

*^%$&^%#$&^#nts (sorry just venting) this is for those who think its fun to steal :)

Well if i dont get it back within 2 weeks in a repair-able condition im back in the market.

Any suggestions on what to get?

Hey mate sorry to hear that :) I wouldn't be surprised if you see your car on the news been used in robbery or sumshit that's what scum do these days. I feel yah pain mate.

Ha haa yeah...ive been watching the news, just waiting for a phone call from the cops!

Cheers for your concern :P

Sorry to hear mate!

its been said so many times, and some ignore it. But if you own a nice import car and dont want to be in this situation an alarm should be one of the first things we put on our cars.

There is too many scumbags out there who will steal a car!

What ever it is hopefully it will be protected with an alarm and or immobiliser.

Any suggestions on what to get?

if i woke up at night hearing my alarm going off i would run to the kitchen and grab the machete and hopefully scare the hell out of whoever set the damn thing off.

What if they have a bigger machete? Or used needles full of aids?

Sorry to hear about the stolen car! Hope you get it back in one piece!

I doubt they would use that car in a robbery....

1) it stands out so poo poo's will spot it easy

2) im sure there are easier cars to steal, whats so special about using a skyline in a robbery

3) Most likely going to a chop shop.

Best of luk getting it back, u must have been a target as well, being in an dead end street and all. Someone would have to have known the car was there so maybe if u have run into a few weirdo's recently maybe people at the petrol station (I say this cause i always get questions about my V35) or someone who has asked questions about ur car would be ur best bet.

Thanks for all the fuzzys guys....maybe if im lucky i can buy it back on e-bay peice by peice.

Oh well the first 48 hours are the po po's best bet of finding it.

If not in found in 14 days im in the market. If anyone know a nice car for sale give me a heads up.

Cheers

cant be too hard cos of all the recent thefts.. plus they're a fast car and will get out quickly if they dont hit anything.. buy my gtr if you want, has alarm :P

sorry to hear it bud, hope you get it back.

was it at least insured? i know the feeling all to well...as do a fair few guys on this forum, the time waiting for the cops to call back is the worst

cheers Bengi

Scum... just the other week someone almost managed to break into our house. Not sure what that they were after, but the fact that my car was out on the driveway was the cops' reasoning, they wanted to get the keys.

Hope you get it back in one piece mate.

    • Out here E90s are the cheapest way into a sporty-ish car because everyone knows just how expensive the repairs can get. 8-10k USD for an automatic 335i.
    • Noted. Have noticed BMW are more 'high maintenance' for sure. They've attracted my attention as I think the used car prices seem reasonable vs other options, and the extra quality overall vs a commodore / camry / corolla or similar of the same vintage is appealing, especially the interior, and they are more on the sporty side whereas the others mentioned can be more cruising or economical A-to-B only.
    • Haha yeah I know, this is SAU after all, why are we talking about BMW's of all things!? I hear you on the 'don't have to worry about it' side of things. Having been fortunate enough to be have been able to buy a brand new motorbike or two...never really enjoyed them as much as I'd have liked as you worry so much about where you park it, will it get scratched, stolen, attempted theft, knocked over, etc...and yes dirty. Older less valuable bikes you can just go where you want and park it wherever and not really worry that much in comparison. And who cares if it gets dirty! Never owned a V8, and have had my eyes on VE / VF commodores for years but with their prices climbing so high, the M3 has come into focus more as prices are much closer than I've ever seen...is it a potential contender now?...of course need to factor in the S65 'maintenance' especially and like you said general M car 'tax'. One can dream anyway. But more on the reality front - did read the whole 330i thread as well and was a great read too, both threads enlightening as I've never even driven one of these cars! I do recall 330i didn't seem to have the same amount of issues for almost the same car (turbos and related differences notwithstanding)...perhaps down to getting it earlier in it's life so looked after better than the 335i? Perhaps so as your 130i has been good and quite similar, so finding a car that's been looked after well is the especially-crucial-BMW-first-step.
    • Nice. Dont worry about the time of not running. My current skyline hasn't run since I bought it. About 8 years ago.
    • It's also worth noting that I am heavily and unconditionally biased. I've had a lot of cars including some GTRs a fair while ago. I love my BMW's now a lot. They make no sense a lot of the time and the guys on here remind me regularly that I could get something else that does what I want better and cheaper. If you're going to take on an older BMW it's definitely a commitment. If you bail on it early you'll lose money and also the ability for it to put a smile on your face. Stick with it and it just gets better.  f**k I should get into advertising.
